Molly was raised in Pennsylvania. Her first professional stage career when she was thirteen and was a part of Philadelphia's Prince Music Theater. Then she was nominated as an Barrymore Award nominee for her part as Little Red Ridinghood at the Arden Theater's production Into the Woods. The actress reprised this role when she made her Broadway debut at 15 in Into the Woods on Broadway in 2002. She was also nominated for an Drama League Award.
